A Natural Answer to a Massive Global Ecological Problem

GENDARME Sanitation Systems is a Company with a social awareness and ecological conscience. Its major aims are to preserve and conserve precious drinking water supplies, protect the environment, prevent the spread of disease and to uplift disadvantaged communities through education and projects from which income can be derived by the proper utilisation of the available resources. It has designed a self-flushing toilet for areas where there is either a shortage of water or the water table is high.

This has been achieved through consultations and discussions with numerous academic and research institutions globally in which arena anaerobic waste processing has come to the forefront.

The completely natural process of anaerobic digestion or bio-conversion has been harnessed to convert organic waste in to water, soluble substances and gas at the same time destroying pathogens potentially harmful to man and beast.

This process eliminates a solid waste problem on-site leaving only a low volume of harmless liquid making final disposal safe and easy.

Units are currently proving their worth in a wide range of situations- private homes, constructions sites, army camps, road building camps, dam building sites, clinics... there is no limit to their application.

A secondary project utilises the water displaced from the units along with grey water from the house, to irrigate trees, crops, grasses, bamboo, reeds and rushes giving the owner a source of food, fuel and materials for building, handcrafts and an income. From Effluent to Affluent!!

This is an immensely viable project of great value globally not only in solving a growing problem but raising standards and creating employment.
